Apple may launch Beats Studio Buds wireless headphones soon
Apple’s premier wireless earbuds are part of the AirPods lineup, which includes regular AirPods and AirPods Pro. AirPods, however, aren’t Apple’s only audio company. They also own the Beats brand, founded by Dr Dre, and have launched many products under the brand since their acquisition in 2014. They often have hardware similar to AirPods, including the W1 and H1 chipsets from Apple, and work pretty well on iOS devices. The new Beats wireless headphones, apparently called Beats Studio Buds, will arrive soon if the images found in beta versions of tvOS 14.6 and iOS 14.6 can be used.
The images, first found by MacRumors, have a fairly distinct design compared to other headphones made by Apple under the Beats brand. An earmuff is often commonplace in these headphones, whereas here it is not found anywhere. Their design is more like something we would find from companies like Sennheiser, Sony or Samsung rather than Apple itself. Aside from the lack of earmuffs, they have a rodless construction and are actually quite compact with silicone tips. This design is more like what we’ll see (at least rumored to be) with the second-gen AirPods Pro, which could ditch the iconic rod design. The headphones, along with the oval-shaped charging case, will be available in multiple colors including, but not necessarily limited to, red, white, and black. As for the internal specs, we’re not exactly sure, but we expect them to come with some flagship Apple features like active noise cancellation, custom Apple silicon, and maybe other features. such as Spatial Audio.
We don’t know when these new headphones might hit the market, but we might see them debut soon after Apple rolls out iOS 14.6 for stable users, as it’s the update that adds the plug. in charge of these headphones.
