Steering House Design and Development is a Brooklyn-based high-end residential design, development and construction company looking for a Junior Architect / Designer to join our team in the coming weeks.

We are an active and characterful company looking for an experienced, complete, enthusiastic, energetic, motivated and detail-oriented Junior Architect / Designer to collaborate with and draft plans for our design and construction projects across Brownstone Brooklyn . Qualified candidates will be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-pressure work environment, overseeing approximately 20,000 square feet of new and existing construction spread over a few job sites at any given time.

Responsibilities include:

Architecture and design:

  • Review new projects and write and detail construction plans for residential hose renovations and new construction in the New York area
  • Maintain company design standards
  • Help specify finishes and fixtures based on budget guidelines
  • Work with our shippers to ensure timely DOB approval

  • Minimum of 3 years of residential architecture or construction experience in New York City
  • Positive and professional attitude
  • Revit and CAD expert

Salary and benefits:

Salary: $ 60,000 to $ 70,000 per year, depending on experience.
